Folks, this is the easiest, cheapest and has padding to reduce possible scratching. Because it is not a motorcycle part it is much cheaper.

This is something I've never understood. Why can't helmet manufacturers integrate an eyelet or something into the actual helmet shell so it can support something like a trigger lock to the bike? If some punk wants the helmet with the folks that just lock the D-Ring to the bike, a simple swiss army knife on the helmet strap solves that.

Any more secure solutions?

Bob

Kawasaki Vulcan tourers have always had helmet locks built on to their bikes. Nice chrome latch. Did I use it a lot? No, but it was nice to have i.e. for the wife. And now that I have a nice new HD helmet I'll be using something too.

I have one of the Reda helmet locks and it works great, I can highly recommend them.

We have 2 of these and they've been very handy.

I like the REDA. Can lock both helmets on one lock. Can place it pretty much anywhere.

Cutting the strap pretty much renders the helmet useless, unless some "punk" is going to strip the lining out, buy a new strap, then re-rivet the strap to the helmet, and then either re-glue the liner or buy a new liner...pretty unlikely for a "punk". I just use 2 HD helmet locks, one mounted to each crash bar, right under my highway pegs.
