I got mine in the tourpak. Half the time the turnpikes don't even pickup on my bike. The other half it always gives me a thank you message as I pass through. I haven't ever had it tell me I didn't pay though.

Still trying to figure out why the bike doesn't register the toll sometimes though.

I keep mine in one of the lower glove boxes. If I position the bike correctly in the lane it will see it.... I've never been ticketed for running a toll.

I have mine Velcroed to the left side of the trunk. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. My plate is registered with EzPass but I don't think their cameras can read it due to the mounting location under the trunk overhang.

It really depends on the toll you're going through. If it's one of those tolls where the readers are over head and you can go through at speed, any placement should work fine. If the reader is one that is out in front of the bike, at bike level, and you ride past, I find that my reader doesn't pick up all of the time, unless it's mounted in the middle of the windshield. I have tried it in the tour pak, side cover lid, handlebar, side of the windshield just above the inner fairing and the readers have a hard time with it. If you use the suction cups and mount it to the center of the windshield, it will probably work all of the time.

I just keep mine in my jacket pocket or throw it into the saddlebag. Never had a problem.

Our area lets us register the license plates of all of our vehicles. That way, even if the pass is not picked up by the sensors (or we just don't have it with us), we are not fined, just our account is debited as if it picked up the EZ Pass (at the discounted carpool rate - if you ride in the carpool lane).

As long as I put the left saddle bag in the center of the lane, I've been OK with this set up.

As discussed in another thread, I applaud all of you that are sometimes paying the toll, good for you, seriously. Here in NYC, they have gates at the tolls, so if it can not read it, drama ensues. Not fun sitting there, waiting for the cop, horns honking etc. Suction cup on the back of the windshield works every time. Good luck to all.

I have 3 of them for the cars and when I went to get one for my bike they said all I had to do was give them my plate info an when I went through the toll it would automatically be applied to my account. Haven't had an issue plus don't have to worry about where to put it

Don't they have an I-Pass lane only. I thought NY was ahead of the game.
Guess not!
