Had the same problem...pushed it in..and gave it a slight turn to the right. Still in so far.

Mine popped out all the time as well, I replaced it with a new one I had on hand. Cant remember what I bought them for, but bought a 5 pack on ebay some time ago, and only used 1, they have been hanging on my peg board for a number of years.

My 16 Road Glide does it too. I also gave the plug a wrap of electrical tape to cure it.

Had this happen to mine. Take the fairing off and tighten the 12 volt housing. Use some loctite. Did that and it's been fine for over a year now.

Put a piece of shrink tubing on mine and heated it up.

I wrapped a turn of electrical tape on the o.d of the part of the plug that goes in the opening. It just increases the diameter enough to keep in snug in the hole.

Order these covers. I'm going to tell you first the parts guy have never seen them. They are used on the Police bikes. It is made of soft rubber and makes a good seal to the fairing/outlet and the stopper. Order several and give to your friends, they are like $1.50 a piece and work great. H-D Cigarette Lighter Cover # 91844-97.

Haven't had mine pop out yet but I couldn't keep a cigarette lighter in my old glide either. It would just fall out.

That's pretty cool. It doesn't have a raised portion to grab onto?
