Radio won't go off with ignition!!

after the ignition was of, holding down the power button did nothing. When I turned the bike on holding down the button, the radio would say it was powering off then stay on. I know how to turn it off, and I know about the radio staying on when still on a phone call. I ultimately had to pull the main fuse to get it to go off. I know the boom audio can be "quirky", but I have 33K on the bike and this was a first for this issue.
