This may sound weird but did you try another antenna? The same thing happened to me and after checking all the major stuff (like the cb module) the problem turned out to be a $20 antenna.

Good luck!

As you are looking at the rear of your bike make sure your cb antenna is mounted on the right side and the am/fm antenna on is on the left side. I was having trouble with my 15 Limited, new, and finally realize the dealer had put them on the wrong side. I know you said it was working fine before but someone could a swapped them around while you weren't looking. The antennas are marked at the base of the antenna.

Sorry if I missed this but did you make sure you have the volume turned up when someone is talking on the CB?

Each module, phone, radio, navigation, CB, etc has it's own independent volume.

J&M Audio makes a CB antenna system upgrade kit. I'm planning on getting this for my bike soon. Here's the link... http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....ctID=CBAU-HU14

HogPiolet54. I got that kit installed last August - really makes a difference.

By the way, go to Sierra Electronics- they are selling the J&M kit for $101 (that is where I got mine)

Just for the record... Parked next to my wife's uncle. Both on same channel (and tried a couple different channels too). No go, unless I opened my squelch all the way. Starting to look like I'll have to go to the dealer. One last thing I might try is swap antennas with him... See if I have a bum antenna. Spooky though. If it transmits, it should be receiving.

Another point to check: The Motorola connector in the antenna coax lead is exposed to weather now that it has been moved from inside the tour pack to outside the tour pack , located under the seat back flap. It is now subject to corrosion. Pull the connector apart. It there's a white coating on either the male or female ends, you'll need to remove it with emery cloth, then add some dielectric grease to help prevent further corrosion.

Hmm.. Interesting. Will look there. I could have sworn it was all protected, but will definitely look. The rain we had on the Rolling Thunder trip and one I just took to MA recently might have done something. Thanks!

Make sure the connector under the tour pack is tight, and check the connection to the radio under the fairing.
