My 2014 Limited navigation has, over the past 3 years, intermittently gotten "lost". The dealership couldn't replicate the issue when I'd take it in, of course, and now it's well out of warranty.
Lately, every time I try to use navigation, it thinks I'm somewhere else. Usually it's within a few miles but sometimes it's way off. Last night it thought I was 3 miles south of where I actually was.
Has anyone else encountered this? I think I'm one software update behind but none of the previous updates have helped. I've tried resetting it too, no help. Any ideas short of replacing the entire unit?
Wonder if the antenna is good? I 'believe' there is a screen you can pull up that shows the satellites its connected to. Might be worth while to see if its connecting to at least 3.
I don't think it says I'm somewhere I'm not, but it has worked great at times, on the same trip, then doesn't work at all, or I'll guess at a turn, and it will re- routing me, but not tell me which way to turn, so tnx for the antenna suggestions, I don't even use it any more, go by the phone, because of the issues
When I first started it up today and brought up the map, it still showed me in the same wrong location as it did when I parked it. I checked GPS location through the menu and saw this:
While on my way to the dealership it started working again. I bought a new antenna. It's worth a shot!
