B F Kenny, The Stage-I low cost way for a Rushmore is to put a K&N air cleaner into your
stock AC housing, vent it to the atmosphere, and add the slipons of your choice. You may
also want to add FL-ViED-10 into the mix to add more fuel, all can be done at DK Customs.

That's almost what I did, except for a Big Sucker. Love it. Very simple and effective.
Buddy of mine kept his stock and put on the FP3 after I used one for my Stage 1. He too only wanted to get rid of some heat, he's very pleased with the FP3 program for a stock bike, says it runs smoother, especially at low RPM's where it used to surge. He says it seems to run cooler overall and is very happy he went that route...
Many people seem to prefer the PV ( more options) but for those of us who probably will never go farther than a Stage 1 an FP3 seems a good choice. I already added Jackpots but think I will just add an KN element with the FP3.
I am not sure why you don't want to get rid of the cat. The purpose of a catalytic converter is to burn up any un-burned fuel. If you add more fuel with a tuner your giving the cat more to burn.
ive got parts being delivered Saturday, for my stage 1......i would recommend contacting fuel moto for some package options they have some discounts for packages, and they load the tune in my power vision before they ship it.... $1550 for jackpot header their high flow air, SS MK 45 slips and a PV tuner..... and all the support you need ...
