Going in - put your helmet on....I got your covered.
Which program did you build the route in? For kicks, try the Honda Ride Planner - I am sharing that you are going to like this one. It has all you need.
Cycle: My latest route I created on Garmin Basecamp. BC has a real steep learning curve to use it effectively, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty cool.
I'm thing the same thing...In actuality, one could probably navigate around the world with 25 waypoints! LOL
I was mostly experimenting with a high number of pts....I just built a route I'm gonna ride tomorrow with 4 pts and it is 300 miles round trip. I have not loaded it into BOOM yet but I'm going to give it a try in a bit.
Cover me, I'm going in!
My opinion is it's the number of waypoints in your route. I've had no issues with up to around 40 waypoints. The book says it'll handle up to 99 waypoints, but I've read several have found the true usable upper limit is around 55-56 waypoints. After that, things quit functioning as they're supposed to. Nice thing is, you can build your route in segments to keep the waypoint count down, but have several "routes" included in one GPX file that can be imported as one GPX file, but loaded & run as smaller routes.
Yeah, I don't know what happened. The USB drive worked perfectly before. Used it and got that error message, and now my PC won't even recognize it. Orange LED on it just flashes.
Tried the Honda Ride Planner site and it actually worked, EXCEPT that the route I want (which is what the site shows) is not the route the nav system calculates.
A little more time consuming, but shows up any shortcomings in your route planning is to load your trip in Tyre first. It will show where you need to add waypoints to get the route you really want to ride.
I used MotoGoLoco.com for awhile but it seems to have gone out of business. I've been using Kurviger lately and am very happy with it. Easy and intuitive, just change the language from German to English. Had no issues importing to my NAV. The free version works fine, don't see any advantage to paying for it online. https://kurviger.de/en
