At $150 for an update, I'll do it every 3 years and spread out the cost!

For that kind of out dated updates I'll put a RAM Mount on use my Garmin with Lifetime updates.

Checked out the version. Like others, it does not say MY-2018, but HMNA2016Q2. I will say that when I brought up the map more POI's showed up. Didn't do that before. So far I am happy! I will know more when I go out and ride.

I don't know what the date says on the bike right now (I'll check later) but I had the MY2017 maps on there when I bought it. Just bought the MY2018 update because I knew there was a particular new road missing on 2017 maps (it only opened Oct 2017). Guess what? Still not there, even though it shows up on the Road Planner. That was a waste of money, then. Some of the comments above about the data might explain it, but it's a bit rubbish when TomTom, Google and Garmin can manage it promptly.

Default MY2018 update

According to HD support when I called this morning, the issue is with the radio updates we get from their website. I was informed that this would be fixed on the next update.

Per HD support Update 1.21.3.1 is showing 2016 Q2 maps when you have updated to MY2018 maps.

Not it sure if this is accurate or not. I had an older update on mine and it still showed 2016 Q2 after installing MY2018.

I updated the maps to MY2018 before the update you mentioned above. It went from showing MY2017 to 2016Q2. After updating the HD software nothing changed. I think it is part of the new maps update rather than the operating software. Besides I could call H-D several times on the same issue and get told something different each time I call. I would believe support until what they actually happens.

Unfortunately, I've experienced that problem.

I did get a case number, and was told that if the issue was not resolved after the next update to call them back. I'm not holding breath. At this point I'm debating on whether or not to try and get my money back.

A little off topic but I could not find a answer so if I may. Does a new bike purchase come with free map update and if so how does one redeem it? Thanks!
