At the highly regarded suggestion of Durwood, I followed his advice.
He recommended to me to use the Bassani header I already had, Crusher mellow mufflers, Boyesen Power X Intake along with CR570 cams.
I've yet to get the Crushers and have been running the Rinehart 4".
I was going to go with the CR 570-2 but got a deal I couldn't pass up on a set of woods TW-7H. everything I read about the CR's was positive. You don't see an many dyno sheets on the CR cams as others out there.
To see optimal gains with the TW-7, which has a 40deg intake valve close, you will need some added compression...as you would also with CR's own 575 with an ivc of 35. The CR570-2 is intended is to be a direct bolt-in with a 32deg ivc...stock Rushmore being a 30 ivc. I believe you will see a 500 rpm swing to the right in the power curve...probably, when tuned correctly, crossing 100# tq at around 2750 rpms's or so, where in comparison, the CR would be closer to 2250 by reasonable expectation, though some have shown sooner. The other expectation is dependent on where you ride as far as hp, actual time spent above or below 4000 rpm's.
