I've used the ESP several times on my last 2 bikes. The ESP decides if they want to inspect it, not HD. Last time I had a tire claim, I had to wait a day for an inspector to look at the screw in the tire. When I asked why, the inspector said because they've replaced the back tire twice in 5K miles and they wanted to make sure it was a legit claim. They checked the records and found out the dealer called in the wrong tire. Looked at the tire, looked at the screw and said looks legit to me, and had it replaced.

They did the same thing on my '05 for a leaking shifter seal. Complete primary teardown for a $2 part. $50 deductible.

Well, that's what happens when you have to ride through a construction area.

Yep. I figured this out after reading my ESP. CNA.

For those subscribed and following along, inspector has looked at tires and now the dealer is just waiting to hear back from ESP. Stay tuned.

[QUOTE=Puddles;17177182]Well, that's what happens when you have to ride through a construction area.

Not saying it cant happen, with the cars, what ever they drove through with the front usually followed by the rear tire

I didn't purchase the wheel & tire for my Street Glide, but if I did, I would be sure that each tire would have a nail in it just before they where worn below the minimum tread depth

Sounds like the OP has a "Harley Extended Service Plan" which is covered by CNA. I'm sure the service advisor called CNA, not Harley. Harley warrantee issues are over after 24 months and I don't think they cover tires anyway. I've never had a problem with CNA covering anything, but then I never had a tire claim. I'm sure the tire & wheel coverage is the most abused part of that plan.

Servdd6 - yep, this is exactly why some of us might have difficulty getting our tires fixed/replaced. Because some folks out there make sure there ate nails in both rightbefore a tire change is due.
