Default Zeppelin seat

I am looking for opinion's on the Zeppelin seat for SGS.
I have had Mean City's redo my stock seat, and have a Hammock
heated seat . Both seats are good ,Hammock is better.
My problem is at 150 miles in touring day loosing comfort.
What is your experience ?

Thanks

I've tried several seats and quit when i got to the hammock. It's been my favorite touring seat. If your hammock seems to not be as comfortable, you may want to check the suspension strap underneath the seat. There is a webbed strap at the front and back of the rider area that attaches and sometimes the straps get loose. There is a thread about repairing them. Search hammock seats for this site and do some reading.

Hope this helps.

I have a Road Zeppelin seat on my 2015 Ultra, and for me, it the most comfortable seat I've ever had, and I've had several over the years. I'm 6'4 and this seat fits me great. It does raise you up an inch or two when fully inflated and that has been an issue for some riders when it comes to planting feet flat on the ground. This seat is definitely for a taller rider. Before I bought mine I was able to find a bike with a Zeppelin on it at a "Bike Night" and the owner was kind enough to allow me to sit on it, make some adjustments to the air bladders and answer a few questions. If possible I recommend that you do the same. Good Luck.....

You can demo one from the dealers around here. Maybe your dealer has a demo seat to try out.

I am 5'6" with short legs and went to a Road Zeppelin and love it. I have my 14' limited lowered 2" and just remember to deflate the seat when in town in traffic.

you sound JUST like me! I've tried both those too (along with a boat load of others).

Is it the older hammock or the new one? I found the older version to be better than the new, I've had 2 of the newer version and sold both. Older one I kept until I got the Zeppelin.

My Zeppelin went bye bye along with my bike due to Harvey last year. I was very happy with the Zeppelin and would still be using it if I still had my RGU.

My replacement bike is a Road King Special and the size of the Zeppelin was a deterrent for me. It sits you higher for sure and with no fairing and a much wind protection, I opted for a Saddlemen Roadsofa and very glad I did.

I can for sure do more miles on the Zeppelin, no argument there, but I've done a couple of 700+ mile weekends on the Roadsofa but it's not the Zeppelin and I'm not doing much more than 700 miles in a weekend a couple times a year unfortunately and if I were, it would be a Zeppelin or maybe a Russel Day Long

If you can deal with letting the air out when your in town (so you can reach the ground when stopped) and of course the size of it on your bike, you won't be disappointed.

I bought the Zeppli for the long rides. I am 5’ 7” and can’t plant my feet flat on the ground with it, but the comfort on long 500 mile to 1K rides it is worth it.

I had one of the older Zeppelin's on my '99 Ultra and I loved it. When I traded that bike for my '14 Limited the older Zeppelin wouldn't fit. I demo'd the new Zeppelin but didn't like it near as much as the old one. I finally went with the Hammock seat and am very pleased with it.
