In my humble opinion allens will strip before a torx will. Like nomadmax stated, the right bit (T27), antiseize, and torque is the cure all. Put a T25 in one and it'll strip if torqued too tight.

It's not the "going in" that concerns me. It's the "coming out".
I've stayed with the factory Torx fasteners and have had no trouble with them. I use the correct (INCH POUNDS) torque, and do not use locktite (or anti seize for that matter).
I can see where using the wrong size (T25) might confuse a few since many torx bit sets don't include a T27. Less clear on what the confusion is on torque- are some people confusing foot pounds with inch pounds? If so, ouch....................
I was thinking about chaNGING the screws/bolts on the Derby cover from Torx to Allen/Hex. I'm tired of stripping those heads on the Torx because a tech power tightened them! At one time I had the dimensions of the bolts but I have lost that info. Does anybody know the correct dimensions of the bolt?
Also, would you go stainless steel or chrome?
Lastly, where do you go to buy them?
1/4-20 X 5/8 u can find SS bolts at most any hard wear store
