Do you have 'left field data' and 'right field data' enabled? I set left field to current time, then right field to whatever I prefer, most of the time 'distance to via'.
If you are listening to audio the left data field shows audio info leaving only the right data field. I am not aware of any way to prevent audio from displaying in the left field.
In the same location that you enable the left and right data fields, you can uncheck the audio, then you will see both fields (if both are enabled). Personally, I don't need the NAV to tell me what song is playing, so I don't have the audio field enabled

Thanks, I'll check that out. I wasn't aware it was an option. According to the Boom manual it's not possible so that feature must have been added in a software update.
