When I set a route in the GPS, I have the time setting in the lower right hand corner set to arrival time.
Then of course I have no clock so I don't know what time it is while I am riding.
Then, when I am not using the GPS and have the map on the display, there is no time showing, so I have to go and switch it back to Current Time.
Is it possible to have the bike show the current time with the map on and not on a route and then automatically show arrival time when using the GPS without having to manually go in and change it?
Maybe I shouldn't use the map screen unless I am using the GPS?
I do like the speed readout digitally in the lower left corner while the map is on.
I set my GPS screen to show current time on one side and arrival time on the other side.......lots of options on how you want the screen to look. I know the Boom Box manual is poorly written but there is a way.....check it out.
When following a route, just quick hit your info button that shows the oil pressure. It has the current time on that screen also. Then you dont have to mess with the GPS screen settings. When just looking at the general map, mine shows the time but when following a route it shows the arrival time.

Touching the window which shows arrival time or its counterpart on the other side offers options for what can be displayed in the lower corners. I toggle the right thumb button to rotate between the gps and the oil pressure and clock.
While overall I am satisfied with the Boom's NAV operation as a navigational aid there are a few things that could be improved. Years ago I had a Garmin StreetPilot 2720 that could show up to 8 data displays at once while my Zumo 660 will show 4. Both the Garmin's showed GPS speed and the posted speed limit. On the Boom if you are playing a media source you only have 1 data display. The frustrating thing about it is that a software upgrade would probably address all these issues. Not having the clock display in all modes is borderline unacceptable.
Do you have 'left field data' and 'right field data' enabled? I set left field to current time, then right field to whatever I prefer, most of the time 'distance to via'.

If you are listening to audio the left data field shows audio info leaving only the right data field. I am not aware of any way to prevent audio from displaying in the left field.
