Even though Thunder in the Valley (Johnstown, PA Raley) was pretty wet again this year, I managed to put my *** on several M8’s.
Fist I have to say, H-D did a great job with the touring bikes! Nice powerband, and still feels like your on a Harley. Was especially impressed with the suspension. Gotta get me a set of rear shocks from one of these, very nice and cushy compared to my air shocks.
The softies???. Hmmm, I think they could grow on me, but are just too smooth and quiet for my liking. The engine sounded very much like my old VTx 1300, kind of like a sewing machine. I road the Heritage, The Breakout, and the fat boy. I am not a fan of the ride feel of the fat tire bikes, so the breakout and fat boy were not may faves. The Heritage was nice enough, but wouldn’t give up the sound or feel of our 09 for one. Not sure what all was done to the
Heritage before we bought it, but it has a bad *** sound. When me and the wife are side by side, she’s makes mine
sound weak
all in all, good bikes, But hotrhing too spectacular spectacular .
i did ride the Guzi tourer, weird looking for sure, but was a power monster. Sure had fun following this crew, as the leas a spirited ride. Did I say Tripple didgets? Needless to say, pretty fun stuff.
Had a surprise visitor join me for Dinner one nigh, my little granddaughter. She was just so inthrawled with the live music and all the bikes. It was soooo cute
The guzi I Road.

That Guzzi is really interesting. I like it. But its kinda a confusion for them. As I dont see anyone serious about a long haul cruiser considering a Guzzi tourer for "touring" based on dealer networks for parts, service, repairs on the road. Good for "toyring" though.

The Flying Fortress is cool looking, but would rather have a Street Glide. Moto Guzzi dealers are Funny! they come and go down here on the SW Florida coast.
