I'm getting whistling from the vent on my Street Glide. The source appears to be the vent does not open completely creating a small gap for wind to move through. I can push it open with my fingers but it doesn't stay in place. Anyone ever have this or know a way to fix it? Of course it would happen the first month the bike is out of warranty...
I was getting a whistling noise on my 16RGU. I thought it was from the fairing but couldn't really locate the exact source. Turned out to be the compensator.
Yep, did a search and the majority of whistling issues seem to be from the RG. Ive been able to isolate it and stop it by holding the vent all the way open. Wish I could take a better picture of it, but this is the gap at the top of the vent when open. Its the plastic inside that rotates to open/close.
