well update, after dicking around with them for a bit i figured it out, they give you three different lengths for the posts, the long one was causing me the grief, i swapped it out for one of the shorter ones on the other panel, played around with it and managed to get it to work and fit well, now they are sending me more of those posts so i can do the other side, all and all they fixed it to my satisfaction, well after i figured it out that is.

I was thinking about cutting mine and re threading, mine fit well but stick out about a 1/4 inch where the stock ones set against the frame. So did they charge you?

To get them to fit properly (sorta). I threaded the rest of the shank on the post, then I messed around taking them on and off a few times, cut the posts to the proper length and was able to get them to fit to where the point I was satisfied. Having said that, the bottom corner still has a gap that cannot be adjusted due to the covers seem somewhat "warped". Oh, and my pinstripe still does not line up with the Advan stretched saddlebag.

Have you tried tweaking the lower bag support bar? It will move a little, it is what I did.
They are sending me a set of the shorter posts for free.

No, I haven't tried that, I'm gonna now. They are sending me new posts as well but I got impatient and just modified the ones that were sent originally.
ya the posts they sent were free, i have a nice 1/8th gap all the way down the bag and the tip of it is pretty darn near right where the extended bag portion starts so should be good, now to get them painted.
Advan Black has now come out with their version of stretched sidecovers. I ordered a set to match my 2015 RGS vivid black with the silver pinstripe. I was told 3 weeks to ship.
4 weeks later I emailed Advan Black to get an update, I was told they were on the way, 2 weeks later I email again, After many emails, finally I get an answer, they are on the way.
4 days later they showed up. Install looked easy and the finish was pretty good, this is where everything goes wrong. First off, the side covers are nearly impossible to insert the pins in the grommets, The pins do not line up with the grommets and need to be stretched to obtain a very tight fit. Once they were on I am unable to fit the saddlebag on (Advan Black stretched bottoms) the bag makes contact with the side cover no matter how much you try to align them correctly and do not allow the saddlebag to line up with the bag retainer pins. A loose fit reveals that the pinstripe on the covers do not match the bags. Also, no adjustment is available is seat the side covers up against the frame, there is a huge gap between the side cover and the frame (see pic).
At this time I cannot advise purchasing these side covers due to the fact they are poorly designed to fit properly with the bags.
I have contacted Advan Black and sent the pictures to prove the poor fitment, I have not heard back from them. I suppose we will see what happens.
