Default Advan Black stretched side covers

Advan Black has now come out with their version of stretched sidecovers. I ordered a set to match my 2015 RGS vivid black with the silver pinstripe. I was told 3 weeks to ship.
4 weeks later I emailed Advan Black to get an update, I was told they were on the way, 2 weeks later I email again, After many emails, finally I get an answer, they are on the way.
4 days later they showed up. Install looked easy and the finish was pretty good, this is where everything goes wrong. First off, the side covers are nearly impossible to insert the pins in the grommets, The pins do not line up with the grommets and need to be stretched to obtain a very tight fit. Once they were on I am unable to fit the saddlebag on (Advan Black stretched bottoms) the bag makes contact with the side cover no matter how much you try to align them correctly and do not allow the saddlebag to line up with the bag retainer pins. A loose fit reveals that the pinstripe on the covers do not match the bags. Also, no adjustment is available is seat the side covers up against the frame, there is a huge gap between the side cover and the frame (see pic).
At this time I cannot advise purchasing these side covers due to the fact they are poorly designed to fit properly with the bags.
I have contacted Advan Black and sent the pictures to prove the poor fitment, I have not heard back from them. I suppose we will see what happens.

LOL, you're kidding right? He told his side without really calling names or bashing. He waited nearly 2 months for some side covers, they show up and don't fit, and you feel he should wait for them to explain after several emails, before posting here?

ok... let me help you out......many things are made in China and sold by American companies...... HP, Intel, Ford, GM, list is probably endless... the Rockfor Fosgates are flawless. Now these big American companies spend a lot of money going overseas, BUILDING plants in China...bringing their QA programs and management with them to oversea production......Then you have Chinese companies knocking off popular items, and supplying fly by night Ebay sellers to push these items into the market place......and these items are purchased by individuals in the USA,, they then go on forums and bitch about the lack of customer service and the crappy quality of the items.....because unlike Rockford Fosgate and all the other American Companies, the Chinese ones dont give a ****, they have your money.... when you stop buying that item... they will move on to making some other piece of crap and do it all over again........ so dont sit back at your computer and question stuff you know absolutely nothing about.......................thats a FREE lesson... have a nice Friday......... FYI... I work for an American MFG... and we make most things here but do import a couple items.... i know the game....

I work for an American manufacturing company also. Perhaps you've shot some ammunition recently. Most all of our raw materials are sourced from the lower 48 states.

I have several Advanblack products on my bike. Extremely satisfied with their products. Do l enjoy buying Chinese, or any other foreign made items? No, not really, but it's impossible these days.
