GPS Voice directions rarely works

I used this post to resolve my lack of nav prompts. I'd never had this problem before (been using 1.22.0.3 all 2020). But the Settings Feedback checkbox solved the problem.
I wonder if I may have lowered the nav prompt volume to 'none' via the joystick awhile back.......... and THAT un-checked the box ?
Guess its easy enough to test.

this happens to me ALOT! I must accidently lower it when I'm trying to lower the volume of my playing media...
another resolution I had lately, was to ensure that the INTERCOM-AUDIO OVERLAY SENSITIVITY was set low (L2 in my case) in the SENA util headset Basic settings.
Because the intercom was drowning out the turn-by-turn in my ears.
I'd been playing with the settings for another reason and I must have got the combo wrong.

mine was same on a 2000k trip over the last long weekend
just went dark - poof then cam eon agin while driving - no music or nav voice
stopped fro gas and a coffee - started agin and was fine wtf ?
anyone looked at putting the nwew Nav units / stereo in your Rushmore>? the touch screen on them like a iphone is pretty cool
