Agree completely. Like you, no experience with those exact bars, but I have purchased 3 of Jim's RG bars and they were excellent. Very good coating and the deflash / torch wash he does on his welds makes wire pulls so much easier. Really hard to find a better bar at his prices.

Just installed a set of JSR 14s on my 2015 RGS.
A1 quality on fit, finish and internals. Wiring went thru in about 20 minutes.
Paid $189 shipped for the gloss black ones, very happy with purchase.

Nice looking bike. I think I am leaning towards the JSR Bars.

Well decided to go with the JSR's. So glad i did. They are good looking bars and the Welds are great. Wrist angle is perfect for me. These Bars feel amazing when riding.

JFRIZMAN,
Those bars really look good on the bike. Thank you for sharing. A couple of questions if you don't mind.
1. Did you need to lengthen any cables/wires?
2. Did you go from a 1" bar to the 1 1/4"? If so, did you have to change out your attachments (grips, switches, clamps, etc) at the hands? In the MFR picture, it looks like the hand ends may not have been covered with the powder coating and remained at 1'. I really like the look on your bike. Want to do the same thing, but skeptical.

I'm looking to install 10" on my 2017 Ultra Limited and want to go with 1 1/2" bars to make the wire/cable fishing through the bars easier.

Thanks again for sharing!

If I remember correctly, I think another rider stated that if you go higher than 12", you may need to extend the wires/cables. I'm just not sure if I remember correctly . Looking for clarification.

On another note, after doing more research, I've noticed that the 1 1/4" handle bars are 1" at both the tree and the grips to maintain stock mount. I'm just not sure if this is universal throughout all 1 1/4" bars. So, I'll be sure to look for these areas.

1. The factory wires were just long enough with the 12" bars to stick out of the bottom of the bars about 1 to 1.5 inches. I had to buy 8" extensions from NAMZ. ($30). The throttle by wire wire was plenty long enough and did not need an extension for that. Clutch and Brake line had enough slack an did not have any issues with that.

2. The bars 1 1/4" bars and where the grips and controls are located are tapered down and do not have any powder coat on them so everything fit as it should. The hardest part was running the wires. The meathook style makes it difficult to run. Not sure 1 1/2" would be that much different. The most difficult is the throttle by wire side since you must run two sets of wires but I was able to get it done.

I am only 5' 6" tall and have short arms and the 12" bars are perfect. You may want to find a bike locally that has 10" or 12" bars and see if that is what you are wanting. I initially was going to go with a 10" bar but decided to go with a 12" after sitting on a bike with 12" bars and so happy I went with the taller bars..

I did have to grind away a little on the bottom of the fairing where the bars come out. It is hidden so it will never be seen.

JFRIZMAN,
I'm about 5'9" and I sat on a friends bike. He stands at 6'5". He has a 2017 Ultra Classic with 10" bars. After sitting on his bike, it felt comfortable enough for me to want those bars. I like that they don't stick above the fairing and the grip is much more comfortable. After riding my stock '17 Ultra Limited, my clutch hand starts to hurt on the outside edge. I'm guessing it's from the angle of the grip. I don't feel the same pain on my '05 Boulevard.

Thanks again
