Default 20S Headset won't pair after Updates

Have a 2015 Ultra Limited and I upgraded the Boom Audio to version v1.22.02, upgraded the WHIM to v1.1.4, and upgrade the EVO 20S Headset to 1.7.12

1) When I try to pair the headset, the Boom Audio recognizes the headset as running 1.7.c. Looks wrong to me, but the Harley thinks it's normal.
2) After the Headset says "Boom Audio Connected, the radio shows that it's still pairing and it stays that way, I left if there for at least 10 minutes, and I could hear the radio playing through the headset the whole time. I finally hit cancel and the pairing dropped.
3) Repeated what I did in #2, but instead of hitting Cancel, I just turned the ignition off. When I turned the bike back on, the headset said the Boom Audio was connected, but the status of the headset on the bike was blank.
4) I have updated the software again on the WHIM, Radio, and the Headset. Didn't help
5) I've done a factory reset on the Radio and the Headset. Didn't help. (not sure how to do a factory reset on the WHIM)

This stays on the screen after the headset says it's connected. I'm also running v1.7.12 on the headset but the screen shows v1.7.c.
At this point, the headset is playing music. But the status is blank and I have no Config button to change the settings on the headset

2) After the Headset says "Boom Audio Connected", I go to the radio, look at the Wireless headset status and its blank. There's also no button to configure the headset.

Found the answer to this in a Law Abiding Biker youtube video. Seems the problem is these WHIMs are prone to going bad. They described the exact same issue after having the WHIM for 18 months. Replacing it solved the issue. Hopefully it's a known problem and Harley will replace it. I've only had it 14 months.

Ryan Urlacher released an updated WHIM troubleshooting video indicating that the latest firmware appeared to be the cause of his issue. He rolled his back and the module worked fine again.
