2017 Ultra Limited - bubbling chrome
I'm picking up an ex-demo 2017 Ultra Limited from my local dealer. Over all the bike looks new and only has about 1600 miles on it. However I noticed the chrome on the wheels looks like its stating to lift or bubble. There is no corrosion or rust on the rest of the bike. I believe it was a garage queen up until recently.
Has anyone else had this problem ? There is a couple of months of factory warranty left, would HD cover this even though I'm the second owner ?

Look in your owner's manual. Generally, cosmetic damage from the elements is not covered under warranty. However, since you're buying the bike, the dealer might run this through for you and get it covered.

Neighbor had his front wheel replaced free by the dealer under the original 2yr factory warranty on his 15 Ultra Limited, he slid in about a month before his time was up... so you might ask just in case.

Yes! My 2019 FLHTK had bubbling chrome on both wheels at 3k miles! Both were replaced, and now I’m having some issue with my front end. I have a “clunk” that I feel and hear when braking and I’m feeling like the front end is less predictable. The clunk is real but I’m not positive about the rest, however it has reduced my confidence in the front! Of course, the tech told me “they all do that”, Grrr! Well mine didn’t before the wheels were replaced.

My 2013 cvo had no chrome issues at all, On my 2016 cvo I have chrome bubbling from my highway pegs and a few other places with only 12,000 miles. When i asked I was told sorry about my luck.
