I've got a feeling it's the automatic primary chain adjuster that is screwing it all up. I will talk to my dealer tomorrow and see what they say. A failure after 600 miles is not normal.

The auto tensioner does apply more pressure than needed . Solid comps can run $130 thru Dennis Kirk . I haven't tried the auto tensioner with a solid comp. I might have to try that later. Oh I have the manual tensioner thru twin power. And will be looking at it in 1k . Service will be do.

I am running the 32T solid sprocket with the stock auto tensioner with a Game Changer tensioner shoe added. Seems fine so far...

This will be the route I go if I ever have the problem. My biggest problem is finding time to ride. 15 SGS w/4980 miles. I think I performed the 5k service in April. I used to average about 6k miles a year. Damn!

Let us know what the dealer says. Good luck!

I think the compensators are upgraded due to the added HP. I would guess that the old compensators will fail on the newer bigger engine bikes.
