Just broke down and purchased the 2020 maps for Boom Box from Naviextras (Non CVO) version for the GT. Just an FYI, it appears the map version in the current released version is from 2018 Q2. It's a big download - over 4000 mb, so it might take some time on my DSL.

What year is your bike? You mentioned GT, is that the GTS (newer) system as opposed to the Boom 6.5? I've been toying with that too, my bike, 2014 has the original maps and being as I'll be keeping it probably forever it might be time. So are you saying the new maps you purchased are from 2018, 2 years old? I remember when I got my bike the maps were 2012 version (still are), I think most maps are 2 years old when they're new. Thanks...

GT is not GTS. I have the original radio from my 2014, the Boom Box 6.5 GT. Yeah, the new maps that are released with the 2020 Model Year, are maps from the year 2018, about 2 years old already. I had no issues installing the new maps, although the process from Naviextras is a little complicated.

Wondering, have you had time to go for a ride and check out the new maps? Any difference that you can see? On the fence but if it's worthwhile I'll go for it...thank you!
