You can turn a 103 into a 110 but you either need to bore the case to accept the larger diameter spigot of the original equipment 110 cylinders that come on the CVO's -OR- you can purchase a drop in 110 piston and cylinder kit from Harley. (Harley Part Number: 92500039) This "kit" uses a steel cylinder liner inside the cast iron cylinder barrel. Using a steel liner allows for a much thinner spigot. The spigot is the part of the cylinder that extends into the case. FWIW, the piston rings and thus the burning fuel mixture never get close to the spigot. Something VW and Porsche did decades ago on their air cooled engines. Anyhow as a result using this kit doesn't require that the cases be machined. I put this 110 piston and cylinder kit on my originally 103 2015 Ultra Limited (along with heads and cams, etc., etc.) and that was close to 20,000 trouble free miles ago.
