My bike is a 2014 SGS.
Late 2019 put on a set of Heavy Duty 13 inch Fox rear shocks. The ride 2 up was great when adjusted per the owner's manual and was "good" with me solo. Then my weight drops from 230 to 205 (better eating habits) and the ride deteriorates for me solo as I was below the minimum recommended weight and extensive tuning changes didn't get it where I wanted it --- but solo ride was still tolerable.
I had noticed the front didn't feel right after installing the Fox rears. After much looking and reading I ran across the Pro Action fork kit on YouTube and gave them a call. The guy (DJ I think) spent quite a while giving me tips/suggestions on how to make my Fox rears ride better solo. I ended up buying the fork kit over the phone and got it installed by the local HD shop. I was SO impressed with the results of the fork kit (and the previous customer service) I called them back and purchased a set of 13 inch Pro Action rears.
My Fox shocks are headed to Ebay

I have the SuperShox 14" w/1" lowering block and Legends Axeo... today will be my first opportunity to put some miles on the Axeos. They are obviously stiffer than the stock, no diving at stoplights under normal braking, but on the highway they eat the normal bumps at bridges nicely... but its too early to say overall. One thing, it made me rethink the rear setup, so I stiffened it a bit more. With the short travel on these bikes shocks, I want to be sure it absorbs most bumps without hitting the stops... and of course not going too stiff
I've had the SuperShox on the rear for a while, and really like them. Toyed with them a lot and can set them so soft that highway cruising is almost too plush feeling, but that kind of setup doesn't work well in the curves, in long sweepers I'd get a sway going that is similar to a high speed wobble, it goes away by stiffening the rear up. Now its time to go get in the wind...

Default Legend works fine for me

2016 RGU I did Axeo up front and Revos in the rear. After reading all the comments here I figured if the bike rode half as good as everyone said I’d be a happy guy ditching the stock suspension. I had the front cartridges set at 0 and run just about an inch of sag in the rear. I’m around 230 and ride mostly highway miles. I have around 500 miles on so far and couldn’t be happier. Much better handling and very well mannered on rougher stretches of highway. Preparing for my annual ride from Fla to Michigan and back. With parts dealer install and the addition of a chrome front end, I’ve invested around $2500 in my opinion money well spent. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed going with Legend. But to each his own.

I did the Legend Axeo combined with Super Shox and am very happy. I have the Axeo set at 0 and the Super Shox on 3. I’m about 260 . Much better ride with Super Shox and much improved handling with Axeos. They each take 500 to 1000 miles to break in and it actually helped me to set the rear shocks a little stiffer. Takes some time and experience to get the right set up

Has anyone studied up on the functional differences between the "$300" options of Racetech, Ricor and Pro Action? Have I missed a direct comparison somewhere? Been doing some research, but can't seem to quite get my head wrapped around. Wish I had something to offer besides more questions...

As I think about the front end, and trying to simplify.

Key factors:
1. Adjustability, or ability to tailor for each rider. Would like to get right the first time, though the various "recipes" folks have used are generally not directly comparable. (This seems to happen through adjustable parts, modifications or specific parts selection from the manufacturers). What really matters for tailoring?
2. Understanding what to expect from the front end after upgrades - its more than just brake dive. (I have the least handle on this - very important to parts choice). Not sure of the variables to help choose the best balance between handling and harshness when cruising. Would not like a pure performance setup (harsh) or too plush either.

Three popular choices:
1. Ricor Intimidators with Racetech springs (spring weight is very debatable, and folks tend to go lighter than RT recommendation).
2. RaceTech Golds with Racetech springs (recommended or lighter). Seems to me its a real effort to tune, what with having to disassemble the front end each time. Can it be done right, or close, the first time. Extra steps to drill stock damper.
3. Pro Action Fork kit. No emulator valves. Just...new dampers? Are the dampers doing the same job as the emulator valves + stock (and modified) damper?

Are or can the outcome be the same with each system? Is it just about how fluid is handled? Compression, rebound?

I have Öhlins HD159’s out back, and Progressive monotubes w/ fst in front. I’ve found this to be a good match. I weigh 270lbs.

would like to make a correction, visited Legends in Sturgis, turns out Harley-Davidson didn’t purge the air out of system when filling with oil. The air caused the cartridge to bind up at approximately 1/2 inch of travel. Legends purged the air out, they ride great, No brake dive, handles great. Apologize for previous comment. It was incorrect, due to faulty install, not product.

I went with Pro Action fork kit and their 13 in shocks in the back. Much better than stock, the shocks are awesome.
Took some time getting the fork kit dialed in by trying different fork oil levels, it's a PITA with a street glide but well worth the effort

Thinking about the Pro Action front spring setup for my 15 RGS. 170 lbs rider 95% 1 up, 159 Ohlins out back . Can you elaborate on what you had to do concerning fork oil levels and viscosities? .....thanks....goldie

After I installed the fork kit, the front felt alittel stiff when riding by myself, but riding 2up it felt good. Instead of calling Pro Action and see what they recommend, and Because I all ready had a couple quarts of different weights, I tried them with. No good. I called and talked to George. He advised to but to put the 20wt oil back in the forks, but to use less fork oil so the is more of a air gap and make sure the is a 1/2 preload on the spacer.
After that i havent touch the forks since. For the money, well worth it

I just noticed that they have spacers to drop the front down 1 inch. Im thinking of giving then a try.
