Default Air Upgrade

Have a 2016 Ultra Limited with V&H Power Duals and Hi-Output slipons with FP3. Trying to decide between a Screamin Eagle Ventilator Elite or one of the V&H VO2 models.

I just put a SE Ventilator on two weeks ago. It replaced a Zipper brand high flow. The Zipper is much like the V&H your looking at.

The Zipper pushed on my knee and I couldn’t cover the brake pedal completely. (Fat legs)

The SE Ventilator is thinner.

My Zipper is for sale in the HD classifieds...just saying.

I’m running the ventilator. I dig the look. For the most part all air cleaners are going to perform the same so it comes down to looks.

Just realized I quoted the wrong poster... but for reference you can see the ventilator barely extends past my tank.

On an OEM through Stage I or II, including a milder big bore build, IMHO any high flow air cleaner will allow enough air to support those engine mods...

If you go to a much larger big bore... (ie 103" to 124") or a smaller motor, built up to very high HP & torque.. you will need evaluate needed air flow and probably upgrade to an even higher flowing Air cleaner..

For example; I have had a bike with a 103" Stage I and one with a 103" Stage II.. both had the basic Screamin' Eagle high flow air cleaner. They both had more air than needed to get a proper tune...

I recently went from my 103" Stage I, to a high HP/TQ 124" crate engine. I needed to change to an even higher flowing air cleaner for that engine...

If ever in doubt, consult a competent tuner....
