Is the unit Bluetooth connectable? If it is you should be able to pair it with the buds

I don't believe the Boombox sends out a Bluetooth signal. It will receive one though.
Are you just trying to get radio stations to your ear buds?

Yes it is possible but you will need a 5 or 7pin din to rca converter ($12 - $15 CAD) plus a bluetooth transmitter. I put my converter under the seat where
it is plugged into the 7 pin connector which replaced the one going to the gas tank console. I routed a 6' 3.5mm m/f audio cable through the cable tray
beneath the gas tank and up into the glove box. That way I have my transmitter inside the glove box. The transmitter pairs with my earbuds and I can
control the volume with the bike's volume controls. I currently use a BT 5.0 transmitter (about $35 CAD) and BT 5.0 TSW earbuds (about $55 CAD).
You could just plug the converter and BT transmitter into the gas tank console plug for a hundred dollar solution, though less if you already have the buds.

This. Did it on my SGS, mini BT Transmitter that runs off USB power in the glovebox. Works great. Illegal in my state to use buds in both ears, but I don't GAS. Bought some buds that have long battery life, can ride all day listening to tunes. You CANNOT Transmit from BT headset or talk to the BOOM, only hear directions and radio/music. You could answer an incoming call or hear a text, but not be able to talk.
