Adding TPMS to Rushmore Bikes
While ideal to read it on your radio screen.....but seems way too complicated and expensive for a readout that you might view once a ride or probably much less often.
I use the HD 12" screw on air valve extension hose to make it easier when I check the tire PSI, and it takes 3-5 minutes....LOL....and the 12" hose was only $9 to buy and keep in one of my saddle bags.
When I did mine, their "wand" wouldn't "wake" my sensors up so that they would pair automatically... I had taken pictures of the code so we just entered each in the right slots (front/back) manually in the BCM... pro tip, leave the "R" off when entering the code and it takes the code perfectly (the "R" was the first letter). Also initially where it was supposed to be showing the psi value like "38", it had "--"... but rode it around the block and the movement woke the sensors and it was showing the psi after that.
Look up the BCM for your bike on an HD parts site, if yours broke and you had to replace it... that is the very same replacement BCM (41000341x). He's either not able to wake them with their wand so they'll pair, and needs to enter the sensor's codes manually in the BCM (leaving the "R" off)... or he's forgot to enable TPMS under "Radio Customizations" (I think thats the screen on DigitalTech) while he was in there... assuming he enabled TPMS in the BCM to begin with.... but it is that simple once you changed out the BCM and added the sensors. That is the three setting...
Sorry this has lingered a few days, I just seen this... I've been out of town dealing dealing with an emergency...
