Ok so the fairing removal went smooth, HOWEVER I have spent well over an hour looking for the power wire. The HD instructions are pretty much useless. Every video I have watched shows it somewhere near the left fork tube, but I have looked and looked. Every connector there is connected to SOMETHING. Here is a pic of the left side. I did find the right side wire, was up near the handlebars..
The red and black wire on the fork tube is the wire from the left side grip
On my 2020 FLHX the accessory wire for heated grips was on the clutch side behind the fairing and it was violet with blue stripes as I recall.
yep, that/s what Gonmad said. as I remember it was behind something else on the left side as sitting on the bike, but it is there, and only a single connector.
keep us posted.
I just found this. Could that possibly be it? It was up near the fuel gauge. Fuel gauge and light works. End of the wire looks freshly broken, sadly. Hope its not low fuel light. I know that worked before.
This is black, and no connector. I can fix the connector problem with one of the extra leads that came with the grips.
