Hello!
I searched for this topic and didn't find the answer I want and wasn't sure where to put this, so here it goes!
I purchased my "18 Street Glide S in November 2019 with around 1,800 miles on it. I am not at around 15,000. I am pretty sure I had the 5k service done at our local H-D, how ever did not take it on for the 10k. I consider myself to be pretty mechanically inclined and am interested in getting to know the ins and outs of my bike better.
That being said, I would like to perform the 15k service myself! What advice, tips, suggestions, etc. do you have to help me with this? I do have a motorcycle lift, which will make this so much easier I'm sure.
Get a Service Manual and do it. You will learn a lot, might have to buy some tools, and will enjoy your bike more because of your time investment. "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".
you didn't?
literally a ton of useful DIY service info in this forum and /Touring Models
one of the better posts is BrandonSmiths step by step experience with his glide. Also includes his detailed Excel spreadsheet on what to do for each 5K service etc.
Enjoy!

I am not mechanically inclined at all. I'm not an idiot, just not my thing. I did the 10,000 mile on my bike without any problem. The service manual was definitely my friend. As well as the forum here.
Thanks all for the advice! I Think I am at least going to do a 3 hole change myself. What I would like to know now is what brands do you recommend? H-D oils are expensive. Was looking on JP Cycles and there is a complete oil change kits
