Cruise control issue, maybe?

my 14 ultra does the occasionally also. i know im not hitting any triggers that disengage it either

A sharp is the ONLY time my cruise shuts off without input from me....or maybe I said that already?

My 15 flhtk had a the rear brake switch acting up. Cleaned with contact cleaner and no problems since.

A sudden change in RPM will disengage the cruise control. On the free way or any high speed situation, significant power is being applied to the rear wheel. If it is bumped off the road surface momentarily, the wheel speed and engine RPM will change rapidly and cause the cruise to disconnect. This was mentioned in my 08 owner's manual, perhaps the newer manuals no longer have that information.

Default Cruise Control Woes.
My 2020 FLHR has a malfunctioning cruise control. At speeds up to 60 mph the cruise will remain active. 65 mph + it will disengage. I suspect vibration of one of the sensors.

How about the small micro switch at the front brake lever? Perhaps the lever is moving just a tiny bit and causing the switch to fire?

Perhaps ABS or Reflex is sensing wheel speed change and disabling cruise control?

I have that issue. Always cancels on one bump coming home from work. I just hit Res and all is good

Default Cruise???
At low speeds it'll engage and remain that way till you kill it. Freeway speeds it'll activate but won't stay engaged. It looks like the rear brake switch is located right beside the rear master cylinder. The bad news is its no longer easily accessible.

And that is the million-dollar question. I'm looking for a place to start. I may just open up the L/side switch housing and look there first.
