Cruise control issue, maybe?
At highway speeds engage the cruise, put OUTWARD pressure on the brake lever, so it doesn't have a chance to trigger the brake switch. Vibration will trigger that switch if its getting old.
Ride like that for a while.
If the cruise shuts off, it's not that switch.
If it doesn't disengage the cruise, let go of the lever pressure and see if it triggers then.
Process of elimination.........
Good luck, I've had issues with mine too........

It also could/would do it because of the roll off switch. This became absurdly sensitive with a set of MotionPro cables. I finally disconnected this switch just to stop the hyper dropouts. I can live without rolloff function on the cruise control.

I did what you suggested and push the brake lever forward and the cruise stayed on! I did that with the rear and it held also. On my 2020 FLHR there is no switch for the front brake. IDK that what the manual said.
it turns out the leather & fringe lever wraps was the culprit. The fringe on these were about 18 long which creates too much drag on the brake lever at highway speed and kills the cruise control! Fck me right?!
