lower fairing vents

lower fairing vents
For those who have a Rushmore, on the lower fairing, either side, if you push the slider towards the frame, does it close the air vent?
Or does pushing the left side close the vent when pushing it towards the frame, and on the right side, does it open the vent when pushing it toward the frame?
In other words do they both close when sliding towards the frame, or is one opposite?

After my accident last August and my lower right fairing was replaced, the one on the right was installed incorrectly. I thought it was different, but it worked, until today when it came apart.
Now I am trying to reattach it and make it work correctly. Thanks
