2015 Ultra Classic Limited, and I know that when I use cruise control, and want to disengage it, I can tap the brakes and it disengages, and the brake light blinks when I tapped the brake pedal. The second method is to roll the throttle forward which also disengages the cruise control, BUT, does this make the brake light flash?
The brake light should only light when you pull/push a brake lever/pedal.
Basically when you apply your brakes the brake light should light.
This is to alert the drivers following you that you have applied your brakes.

Thanks. I use my cruise a lot on my long trips, and for those who are with me, as I come up on something that might be a hazard, or a change in the speed limit, or a bike rider or Amish buggy on the side of the road for example, I just roll my throttle because it is so much easier than tapping the brake. The problem is that those who are behind me have no clue that I am now slowing down for some reason. I guess I just need to tap my brake so they know something is up, ie. pay attention.

For $100, you can also buy one of these that senses deceleration and turns the brake light on. It can flash the light or keep it on steady. Plug-n-play. https://st2-systems.com/st2-brake-module/

Everytime I see brake lights in front of me, I'm on high alert. Be it a car, truck, bike, or whatever. If I was following someone who had this hooked up while riding up here in the hills, I'd be a neurotic mess by the time we got to our first stop, lol. Might be just what the OP is looking for though!

Imagine what it would be like riding at the back of a group of motorcycles with those gizmos...every time the throttle is rolled off the brake light illuminates...

I don't have epilepsy, but I can see where that might be seizure inducing after that ride, lol!!
My son has epilepsy and fortunately strobes and Harleys rolling of cruise dont trigger him. Thank god for medical insurance the handfull of meds he takes twice a day are about 10K per month and work quite well.
