It seems (and always) Ohlins is the cream of the crop. Although other brands can be close to or equal to Ohlins...
Just hoping to improve my low ridin' Street Glide.
If Ohlins will sell you a set of HD357 resevoir mounting hardware you can mount the rezzies behind the bags.
I too dont like the look of them hanging out.
I did a phone call & email to a couple of suspension companies...
Pro Action 13" shocks have 3 1/2" of travel. Their 12" shocks have 3" of travel.
I had a good customer service phone call.
Legends email...
The Revo/Revo A 13" shocks have 3" of travel.
The Revo Arc 13" shocks (remote reservoir) have 3 1/2" of travel.
The stock H-D Street Glide shocks have about 2.1" of travel for comparison.
I guess H-D Touring bike forks have 4.6" of travel across the models.
My local Indy H-D shop (former dealer tech & parts guru's) support Legends...
Accumulating info for my over the winter suspension upgrade. I will change my mind a couple of times I suppose.
Got more calls/email out regarding travel of the leading shock brands. Waiting to hear back.
I don't care for the reservoirs showing. The Ohlins HD044 shocks come with a very nice billet clamp, and a bracket to mount them hidden, inside on the bag bracket. No hose clamps involved

Thanks NW, good to know. I dont care for the look of the hose clamps. However, about 40K plus later and my second bagger with these shocks I dont worry about it anymore out of sight, out of mind. Anytime I take the bags off (frequent to adjust sag for 2 Up) I take a look to make sure the rezzies are snug and they are.
Lefty you may have a better way once you get your shocks buddy may not have to go the HD357 mount route.

Oh, it was no slight on what you have going on, I was just posting what they have on the latest set
I have a 2015 Limited so basically the same bike.
I test rode the Legend Bike when they were in the area doing test rides when I started looking at suspension upgrades. \
While better than the stock air shocks I wasn't satisfied that was what I wanted. I ended up with Ohlins (without the reservoirs) and was satisfied.
Ended up doing Ohlins cartridges in the front also and really like the handling now and happy with the ride.
I have the Legend Revo without the remote res. I was going to upgrade to the remote res as i bounce between solo and 2 up as well. it is a PIA to remove the bags to adjust the sag. Thought i would add the remote as i thought it would make life easier. Well found out before i bought i would still need to remove the bags to adjust the sag when i ride 2 up. Anyhow, the ride quality is night and day better with the new suspension. The HD one is less than adequate in comparison. Oh an i had the FOX HD springs upfront, but swapped those out for the legends cartridge.
