Default Running lights Installed

Went and got some inexpensive running lights for the bike. Most expensive part so far has been the acc switches. I mounted the lights off the caliper bolt on the forks. They have 2 settings. White or yellow. Waiting for it to get dark so I can aim them correctly and get better pics. Daylight pics so it no justice.

Harley Part number 714000129. Acc switches

El cheapo 65w Amazon spot lights

Caliper bolt mounted

What brand are those, they don't look like cheap lights at all!

. Ok 60 not 65w as I had posted. Here are the lights on Amazon. I have not seen them at night so I have no review of them yet

Looks good. Yellow lens really pops up and seems visible.

Well for the money, they do what I wanted. The white could be a bit brighter on the road but the yellow although still aimed a touch low, I can see glowing in the distance.

Headlights with white running

Just headlights

Headlights with yellow running

Just yellow running lights

I really like that setup. I picked up a set for my Road King Special. I like the placement on the caliper, however; think I’m just going to mount on the engine bar. I have a few questions and wondering if you can help answer. I have some connectors that are utilized in my nacelle which I assume are for aux/running lamps. If I get the right connectors, can I just utilize these? If so, I assume I can splice in a relay and 3 way switch so I can toggle between yellow and white. Or is it easier to find a 3 way switch and go directly to battery and call it a day? I’m mechanically inclined, just not electrically. Any advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

First the mounts are crap but that is about my only complaint for the money invested. I will make some new mounts now that I k ow it’s worth my time. When installing mount with the wire on the bottom. This confused me at first because when I look on the glass it would appear as the cutoff line is in the wrong place. A three way switch will work just fine. I bought the acc Harley switches but I am thinking of wiring the white light to the factory running lights, then keep the yellow on a separate switch. That way all light is on for better visibility in day or night. As for using your existing connections, it will just be personal preference. Post pics once you are done. I’d like to see how you mounted them on the bar.

I agree additional lights are good. But in my opinion, I want to see as well as be seen.

How are the cars reacting to you? Do you notice any less dumbassery around you with the additional lights?
