I purchased the 10-foot extension cable from Amazon - cost was $12.99. Make sure you get the "extension cable"
I don't work on my bike - so, I had the dealer install this. Believe he charged me 1/2 hour. I wanted it done right - so, they run it along the tank and all of those hidden places. I don't see anything except the line in the tour box.
Also, just as an FYI, if needed, you can reach into the phone cubby and unplug - but I have never found a reason to do this.
Good luck

If the road turns to the right (with no option to make a left turn) but your next turn via the navigation directions is a left the system will say "take the next left" and that could be confusing. I've been in the middle of a sweeping right turn and the system is telling me to make a left, it sometimes gets a little dicey until you get to that next intersection and you see you have to make a left. Hope this helps...

I understand that. As an example, my house is on the right as you drive up my cul-de-sac, but the voice prompts tell me that my destination is on the left. Even as the screen clearly shows it on the right. Weird. I will check the north arrow settings and see if that helps.
A 20.00 adaptor on Amazon gives you car play....which gives you Google maps and Waze. I think they are both better than the stock selections.
On the Boom screen? I can plug my phone into the adaptor which plugs into the USB cable in the cubby and get Google Maps or Waze on the Boom screen? I'll order right now...thanks!
