No adapter is to trick the system that it has microphone connected, it is plugged into a connector in place of a WHIM module. CarPlay requires a microphone (I think android auto does the same). Also, if I remember correctly you’d need to enable “projections” in the system settings.

The BoomGTS Nav had me going in circles several times when my bike was new in 2019. I gave up on it rather quickly. Google/Apple maps or Waze are far better anyway.

So, had the dealer run a USB line from the cubby to the trunk. Now, I simply plug my phone in the trunk, and it connects to android auto and all else that I need. On top of that, when you lock the tour box, you need not worry about the phone in the windshield bags.

Much easier to get to it, etc, in my opinion.
itch the cable and use a Motorola MA1 device to connect to you phone. Your phone can be in your pocket.

My phone connects to my Screen with in 15 seconds of start up.

That's a cool idea. The only issue there would be long rides since it won't charge the phone.

My CPlay2Air has "passthrough" USB socket, so one can still connect phone with cable.

Cool. Might have to get a few of these for the different vehicles.

Then I would suggest you pony up and get the charger.
It is a very slick system.
