I don't think there was a CVO Street Glide in 2006 so you might want to figure out what you have. 2006 is the first year for the Street Glide (base) model.
Also, the pre-2009 Touring models used a 5 gallon tank and the 2009-current use a 6 gallon tank, so this would be a huge step backwards in any event.
TIA for any help! will a 2006 CVO street glide tank work for a 2021 street glide special? Gallons, fill hole, fitment?
Both tanks 6 gallons, but the new frame in 09 probably means you'd have to be a fabricator to get it to fit.
Edit - saw a site that said the capacity is 6 gallons, which struck me as odd, but apparently thats not correct, which makes more sense. So you'd be going from a 6 gallon tank to a 5 gallon tank even if you could make it fit, which could be done with a level of work and expense that would make it very impractical.
