Default Slip-on Muffler Help

I’ve had my ‘23 Street Glide Special for six days after moving up from a ‘16 Slim S. While logging some break-in miles, I had two cars within a 20 minute span decide they wanted to share my lane and I’m fairly certain it’s because they couldn’t hear me. Didn’t really have that problem with the V&H short shots on the slim.

With that said, given the myriad of options, what slip-on mufflers would you recommend for a deeper, moderately louder tone? I understand I’ll need to listen to videos and try to hear them in person, so I’m just trying to narrow down to potentially viable options.

No plans to replace the entire exhaust or do any stage upgrades, so performance isn’t a concern. Just looking for the bike to sound good and make sure cagers are aware when I’m in the lane next to them.

Thanks!

Suggestion - Don’t ride next to vehicles, especially if you’re in their blind spot.

Agreed. I was passing in both instances.

I have Rinehart DBX45's. Nice mellow sound without sounding obnoxious. But, crack the throttle and cars will get out of your way.

I have the DBX45s as well and really like the sound. You made it 6 days on the stockers? If think I hade it about 6 minutes. I bought the bike in February and had the dealer deliver it due to snow and ice on the roads. The Rineharts were waiting in the garage and went on immediately, I never even rode it with the stock slip ons.

My first bike was an ‘09 Nightster with short shots and then I got the Slim with the same, so I’ve never had a stock exhaust until now. Bought the Nightster after my cover band played a few gigs in Sturgis for the 77th, so I’m still working through a bit of I don’t know what I don’t know with only six years of riding experience and this being my first brand new bike.

My first mod was going to be handlebars, but I may do both around the same time now.

I appreciate the feedback. Thanks!
