I have always used Deka never a problem, I do buy a new battery every 3 years. Now I have said this before. When I worked for Yellow Freight I picked up full trailer loads motorcycle battery's at East Penn in Reading Pa delivered across town to Yuasa as they were unloading them, they were putting Yuasa labels on them. So do you really know what your getting?

Had my Deka etx30 since 2017. No issues. Granted Bike sits for almost 6 months in unheated winter storage on a tender. But still running strong. Will probably swap it out this spring and would buy the same in a heartbeat.

Yuasa's manufacturing facility is on Montrose Ave. The warehousing is the north end of the property, and the manufacturing and office space is on the south side. It's a big place. They may buy some batteries from other manufactures, but I can't see them doing this for any majority of their battery line.

However there is a DEKA battery warehouse one tenth of a mile from the Yuasa plant.

I'm saying that Yuasa does manufacture batteries in Pennsylvania. I also know that Yuasa makes batteries for Drag Specialties with a DS label. It's common for some manufacturers to infuse some items they don't manufacture.

The DEKA HD touring battery is a 400cca battery. The Yuasa is a 500cca for the same touring bike. They are are not the same battery.

[QUOTE=Ohio HD;21594922]Both are good batteries. But I have a preference for Yuasa, made in Pennsylvania. 500cca and they have those nifty finger pockets in the battery to aid in lifting them out and putting them in.

Looks like these are likely made by the same manufacturer.

I would say they probably are. They also are using the Yuasa part number.
