Deka/East Penn made the batteries for Harley Davidson in the past. I am not sure if they are still making them for the MOCO today.

However there is a DEKA battery warehouse one tenth of a mile from the Yuasa plant.

I don't believe Yuasa "makes" anything. There have been three manufacturers of automotive batteries for at least my entire adult life: Johnson Controls, East Penn, and Exide.

The rest are branding or foreign.

Makes sense to carry a battery power bank, I had a battery that was only ONE year old and it died when I was out in the mountains one Sunday afternoon miles from anywhere.

Luckily I had a power bank with me and could start the bike and find a store open about 20+ miles away...stress or what!

Agree. Carry jump pack. I have seen two newer batteries fail last couple years. Maybe with rising cost skimping to keep price down. Demand from electric market increasing demand and price maybe
