I am looking at freedom shields for my 2023 street glide. I am ordering 5" and wondering if anyone has one. Also what tint does everyone have? They offer : light grey, medium grey & dark grey.
I just installed mine yesterday. The build quality is excellent and I was able to drop at least an inch in height without sacrificing wind protection.
It does take 4 weeks to receive it after ordering. I also got the light grey tint.

i cant speak to the bike. I have a 20 freedom shield on a road king but I do have the light tint. Its basically almost clear. I can see through it easily.
I put the 9 inch medium gray touring on my '19 RGU - Their shields are great, thicker, no distortion, and they bend the air around the rider and passenger nicely ... best i have experienced and their customer services is 5 stars
My 16 Ultra had a clear 5 when I bought the bike. I ordered a 10 medium tint. Really changed the look and moves the air perfectly. I live in Colorado so I was able to drive up to their shop and pick up when it was ready. I was surprised at how small the business is. They welcomed me in, showed me my shield and reminded me to test it before removing plastic film. Customer service is more like a buddy youve known for years. Stellar company.
I just installed the 8", dark touring size on my '14 Ultra Limited. I can see over the top by about two inches, looks great, and provides a huge bubble of wind protection over my helmet and off the sides. With led headlight and passing lights, seeing through it at night isn't an issue, especially since I'm looking over the windshield and not through it.
After chalking up a garage full of windshields trying to find the right one… I settled on Freedom Shields some time ago.
Great customer service, the recurve kick up has zero distortion (unlike other, cheaper brands), the thickness and polished edges are outstanding.
28K on my 19 limited, nearly all those miles looking over/through my Freedom Shields.
When I first got my bike, I told them that I had a trip coming up in a couple weeks… can I get it by then? Yep, no problem, arrived a few days earlier than expected.
Build quality and customer service are outstanding.
They were great to work with. After measuring my stock shield per the instructions (10 I think) and sitting on the bike in my garage, I ordered a 7 medium gray.
Shortly after and during a ride, I realized that my normal sitting position while riding is actually different from what I thought it was, sitting on it statically in the garage, and I was looking at least one inch higher over the top than I originally thought.
I emailed Marcus and requested a modification of my order to 9, thinking I had over estimated how low I wanted the shield (my riding is 90+ percent interstate travel weekly for work), and also to dark gray. He replied and confirmed quickly.
Once received I tested it for a week, glad I decided to make smaller incremental changes, and returned it shave off one more inch, finally settling on the 8 dark gray, touring width. It perfectly sends the interstate wind over my helmet and out to the side, creating a bubble of wind protection and improves the sound quality from the fairing speakers.
