Old vent......new vent?
It will not stay open, and pops closed a second or two after you open it up.
They want to give me a partial refund if I can fix it myself, but I don't see what's causing the problem.

Chinese sellers on eBay try to BS you and jerk you around.

They are still on Back order from HD, not sure if they will ever come off BO ($110).
First, I bought a Chinese Knock off from Ebay, and it was defective. ($50 shipped) got a refund after retuned.
Second, I bought another one on Ebay, take off from a 2017 Limited, a real HD one, and it was defective too. ($60 shipped) arrived back to them today, waiting on refund.
Third I bought a Chinese Knock off from Amazon (easier to return), I installed it on Friday, and it works just fine. ($46 shipped)
It came with foam glued where it seals up against the top of the fairing, not needed, I removed it.
I took the foam off my stock non closeable vent and installed it on the Chinese Knock off where it belonged.
I got caught in the rain a few times with my 2021 CVO, and I missed not being able to close that vent, like my 2014 Limited had.
Good Luck!

As it turns out, I had no issues getting the OEM HD louvered vent from my dealer for the $110. Picked it up a couple of weeks ago and installed it at the same time as my new Klock Werks windshield and Dakota Digital Gauges. Works perfect and still don't understand why they went away from the louvered aspect........
But it is good to know the two different types are identical swap outs with no mods.......
