I have a 2015 Ultra Classic Low that seems to have a clutch fluid leak. While riding last weekend I noticed a drip on the acorn nut of the mirror. Wiped it off, and thought it was a fluke. Rode the bike to work all last week and two of the five days there was a leak spot on the lot. Last night I tested the fluid and it was very dirty, looked like milky black color. It was bad so I removed all from the reservoir and cleaned it up. Refilled with new fluid, hooked up my Mighty Vac and proceeded to bleed and get the old fluid out. When done, I topped off the fluid and then noticed a puddle on the floor. It appears that it is leaking around the sight glass. I believe there is a replacement kit for this, just unsure how this would have just gone.
I am looking for pointers and/or instructions on how to replace. Never had to do and most video's I have found are not HD related and slightly different applications (I believe).
I am unable to find the part online, and have to go to the dealership apparently which now will not happen till Monday. If anyone knows a source please let me know, and the part I am needing is 42145-06.
I am unable to get the glass kit until tomorrow (Monday). I need some help with this glass, does it push into the reservoir, or does it push out of the reservoir? I attempted to push both directions, but neither seemed to make a difference. I was going to remove it prior to me getting the kit, but am unable to. I do want to remove it, but I do not want to damage the opening by pushing it the wrong way. I see tabs all around it, and the one at the top is bent out a bit. I am guessing it pushes to the inside of the reservoir.
Anyone have any help on that glass? Anyone done it?
Fish shows it going in from outside. Think one need two take a short piece of wooden dowel that fits your replacement. Hold it with a pair of needle nose pliers and tap it from the inside with a screw driver handle. Or with a dowel angled in.
Now I am just guessing.
Show a shot of your replacement and where o-ring lands on window.
