Hey buddy, you got time to work on mine, by chance?

Yeah, not in the near future...

I'm taking a break, then I have two jobs to do on two of my bikes... Then there are services due on the other two.. Always something.....

On my friend's bike, I misdiagnosed his issue as bad lifter(s).

When I found the very badly scored oil pump, I knew I was in for much more work than I planned on......

But I said I'd help him out, and I'm a man of my word.

Plus, I had a bike on my lift with no tank, no rockers, no cam chest, and a cooked oil pump.... I knew then I was committed to see it through to the end....

While waiting for the short block and other HD parts to come in, I had parts & pieces all over my little home shop.

My wife came out to check it out, looked around the shop and said, "I gotta ask... Do you know how to put all this back together?".... That hurt....

Then she said, "I gotta leave, all these parts laying around are giving me heart palpitations!"....

Her instincts were spot on, It was a lot of work...

On my old 2010 Ultra Classic when I decided to go a little quieter I just bought a cheap decatted stock headpipe off of Ebay and put stock mufflers on it. It tuned VERY nicely and had a little bit of rumble without being obnoxious. I too had the FP3 tuner and just ran a few auto tune passes with it and all was well. That was a good little tuner for a do it yourself setup. My speedometer was off by about 5mph on the highway and it let me fix that as well.
