Default Knocking Sound?
New to me 2020 RGS, 11k miles. Purchased last weekend and I installed bars today. Took it out for a ride and other than the check engine light coming on for a bunch of historical electrical codes, everything was fine. When I pulled back in, I cleared the codes and started it back up. Check engine light stayed off, but I’m hearing a pretty significant knock. I can’t really determine where it’s coming from, but it sounds like it’s coming from the back, not the engine. Video with sound attached. Any ideas where to start?

I’m hoping so. I know I’ve posted it everywhere. Just got the bike and really hoping it’s nothing serious, like lifters or something that could detonate the engine or transmission. Most people seem to think it’s exhaust related, which gives me a little hope.

Sounds like a heat shield. get a rubber mallet and tap each one, see if one resonates.
