Scrapped the front corner of the fairing and the lower, my knee touched the road but i came right back up, like I bowed before the queen. My pants wied up a some of the oil for the next guy who comes along. I know this could have been way worse. I leterally walked away, as i walked beside the bike as she was sliding. The back slid out and I guess when it got grip again went over high side.
I wonder if RDRS would made a difference in that situation.
I don't know. I heard the rpms go up a few thousands of a second before the slide. Everything seemed like it was a fractions of a second for it all to break loose. Once the weight shifted to the high side there was no stopping it.
My next focus is going to be what to do to make it whole again. leave it, polish over it with rubbing compound to lightly smooth and take away whatever it can. the plastic is scratched deep enough to feel it. I doubt any rattle can would ever match. Does HD have somewhat matching touch up pens? Would an aftermarket prepainted fairing match? The couple I have found use different names for the paint colors. What would it take to return it after a 5 second check of nope that doesn't match. What would a decent body shop charge to fix it?

I dunno everything so far.
Gouges would have to be filled and sanded then there's a question of your two tone paint, if you want to make it "whole" it might be cheaper to buy a new fairing, I think. Paint job isn't cheap this days.
